Two wanted men arrested in VT hospital
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Two men were arrested on warrants in a Southwestern Vermont Hospital last night.
Police say the two were wanted in an aggravated assault stabbing incident in Adams. MA., which occurred on Friday.
Police arrested 18-year-old Joshua Cannon of Johnsonville, NY for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. He allegedly wrapped a chain around his fist and punched a victim in the mouth. Cannon broke his hand during the incident, and was arrested in the hospital where he was being treated.
19-year-old William Fiske of Adams, MA. was also arrested while visiting Cannon in the hospital. Fiske was charged with aggravated assault with the intent to murder or maim for allegedly stabbing a man eight to nine times in the stomach and torso.
Both men were remanded to a Vermont correctional facility and will be arraigned in Bennington District Court on Monday on fugitive charges. They will then be sent back to Massachusetts to face the assault charges.
