Saratoga County man arrested on indecent material charges
Comments 0 | Recommend 0A 65-year-old Saratoga County man has been arrested on three felony counts for sending pornographic material online to someone he believed was a 14-year-old female.
George Rock, Jr., of 4 Ames Ave. in Round Lake has been charged with three felony counts of first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor.
Rock was arrested March 23rd at his home after a five-month investigation by Ulster County Sheriff's Office Internet Crimes Against Children unit, State Police in Saratoga, and State Police Latham Computer Crimes unit.
Investigators say Rock engaged in online conversation of a sexual nature with someone he believed was a 14-year-old female, and sent pornographic photos to the subject.
Police say further charges could come about as a result of the search executed at Rock's home, where computer and other equipment were seized.
Rock was transported back to Ulster County for arraignment and was remanded to the county jail on $25,00 cash bail.
