Death of Amy Seyboth-Tirador ruled a suicide
The death of Staff Sgt. Amy Seyboth-Tirador has been ruled a suicide.
Colleen Murphy, Amy's mother, told CBS 6 tonight that the military has closed its case on Amy's death.
But Murphy is eager to lead her own investigation, saying that Amy did not kill herself.
“The final case is closed so we can now start our investigation," Murphy said. "We knew – me and her father knew – that that’s the way they were leaning. I’ve been saying that all along, and I was right."
"So now our chapter begins – chapter two begins – and we’re going to start getting all the information we can," Murphy added.
Her parents say Seyboth-Tirador was shot in the back of the head in November while she was serving in Iraq.
