Woman arrested after underage drinkers get sick from alcohol consumption
AMSTERDAM -- A 50-year-old Montgomery County woman was arrested New Year's Day, accused of supplying alcohol to minors, two of whom had to be treated at a local hospital for excessive consumption of alcohol, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office said.
Laura Doerr, 50, allegedly purchased alcohol for four minors and allowed them to drink in her home at 275 Robb Rd. on New Year's Day.
Two of the underage drinkers ended up in a local hospital after they got sick from drinking, said the Sheriff's Office.
Doerr was arraigned in the Town of Amsterdam Court on charges of unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, and violating the social host law.
She faces another court appearance later this month.
