BERNE -- The Albany County Sheriff's Office is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the shooting of two dogs in the town of Berne.
Police say they found two dogs shot and killed at close range on a state trail off Cole Hill Rd. in the town of Berne on September 12th. They were found approximately two miles from the dogs' owner's home.
Investigators say they're continuing to follow up on leads. A previous reward announcement on September 18th helped bring in new tips, and police are hoping the increased reward offer will help close the case.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 518-765-2351.
