Pizza deliveryman robbed again in city of Albany
A pizza deliveryman was robbed for a second time in a month in the city of Albany Wednesday night.
The deliveryman from Soho Pizza on Lark St. was making a delivery to 24 Putnam St. at around 10:55 p.m. when two men approached him outside his car and attempted to rob him.
Albany Police spokesperson James Miller said the suspects were unsuccessful in stealing anything directly from the victim, but later stole his vehicle.
The empty car was recovered a short time later from a snow bank at the south end of Moore St.
A K-9 unit managed to track a trail up until Slingerland St. and Second Ave.
The deliveryman was not hurt in the attack. This was the second time in a month the same employee was robbed while delivering pizza. Another delivery employee from I Love NY Pizza on Central Ave. was also robbed in late December.
No arrests have been announced in any of the robberies.
