Albany Man pleads guilty to attempted murder after fight over female
An Albany man faces 12 years in prison after he pleads guilty to Attempted Murder.
Albany County District Attorney David Soares says Nephren Holt admits to stabbing another man four times after an argument over a girl. On Saturday Oct 25th at about 4:00a.m., Holt began arguing with Benjamin Clark.
The fight turned physical, and Soares says that Holt intentionally stabbed Clark with a pocket knife, puncturing his heart and eardrum, lacerating his lung and face.
The injuries almost killed Clark.
Soares says under the terms of the plea bargain, Holt faces 12 years in prison, followed by five years of post-release supervision on his sentencing, January 29, 2009.
