UPDATE: Victim in Albany shooting identified

UPDATE: 10:40 AM

Albany Police have released the name of the 18 year-old man shot in the buttocks Sunday.  Rahliem Johnson, 18 of Ida Yarbrough was shot just after 4 p.m. at the corner of Lark and Third Street, according to Det. James Miller, Albany Public Safety spokesman.

Police are still investigating the incident, but Miller says two black males were witnessed running from the area, toward Livingston Ave. after the shooting.

Miller says there is no motive at this time, and the victim was doing nothing more than standing on the corner when he was shot. He was brought to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
