Travel advisories for Rensselaer, Guilderland

The Department of Transportation has issued the following travel advisories:

1) Following tomorrow's morning rush hour, Routes 9 and 20 westbound between Washington Street and Broadway in the City of Rensselaer will close for city sewer work. 

It will remain closed until the work is complete, but will reopen for the morning rush hour on Monday, April 27, then is anticipated to close again.  Motorists should follow the signed detour using Washington Street and Third Avenue.  

2) Culvert replacement work will begin on Monday, April 27, on Route 146 between Maple Avenue and Lewis Road in the Town of Guilderland adjacent to the Village of Altamont.  The road is scheduled to be closed through Sunday, May 10.  Motorists should follow the signed detour using State Route 156 and County Route 260, Witter Road.
