PICTURES: 6-month-old killed after driver makes illegal U-turn

A 6-month-old infant is killed after a morning accident on the New York State Thruway.
State Police say the accident occurred near exit 21A northbound, near the New Baltimore rest stop.
The State Police say that a black 2008 Chevrolet, operated by Jay Katon, 22, of Alburg VT was driving north when he tried to make an illegal U-turn.
Police say the driver, and three other passengers, was taken to Albany Medical with non-life threatening injuries. The infant was pronounced dead at Albany Med.
Police say charges are expected.
