Seven arrested on narcotics charges after Task Force raid
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Seven individuals are arrested on drug charges in the Amsterdam area after a six month investiagtion by police.
Tuesday morning, 50 members of the Montgomery County Task Force arrested the individuals in an attempt to curb what Det. Lt. Tom DiMezza calls an ongoing drug problem.
DiMezza says, "By taking these individuals off the street you cut off the supply to the buyer and also stop(ping) these individuals... It is not something we ever foresee stopping but we have to have continued pressure to remain on top of these criminals and keep our city safe."
The following individuals were arrested and will be arraigned in Amsterdam City Court:
Joseph DePalma, age 48
8 Hibbard Street, upstairs, Amsterdam, NY, 12010
Charged with Criminal Sale of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree, a "B" Felony.
Marie McNeil, age 47
8 Hibbard Street, upstairs, Amsterdam, NY 12010
Charged with Criminal Sale of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree, a "B" Felony.
Pedro Cruz, age 32
8 McElwain Ave., Amsterdam, NY 12010
Charged with Criminal Sale of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree, a "B" Felony.
Luis Barrera, age 28
60 Division Street, R-1, Amsterdam, NY 12010
Charged with Criminal Sale of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree, a "B" Felony.
Jason Carmona, age 28
28 Kline Street, Amsterdam, NY
Charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana, 4th, a class "A" misdemeanor.
Lisandro Garcia, age 26
37 Slater Street, Amsterdam, NY
Charged with Criminal Sale of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree, a "B" Felony.
Angelo Dalmau, age 38
288 Florida Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010
Charged with Criminal Sale of Marijuana, 3rd , a class "E" Felony.
