FROST - FREEZE ADVISORIES UP FOR PARTS OF THE REGION TONIGHT

Some higher elevated areas have already seen frost in the past week, but tonight will likely be the coolest so far this season, and frost is expected to be more widespread, including some lower elevations. Frost is not expected in the Capital Region, or southern Hudson Valley, but will be likely in cooler locations. Delicate plants should be protected or brought inside where possible.

September 18, 1972 - Jane Fonda brings Vietnam protest to NY

More than 40 years ago, the country was divided by the Vietnam war.
   
One of its most vocal activists: actress Jane Fonda.
   
On this day back in 1972, Fonda and her then-husband Tom Hayden attended a peace rally in New Paltz.
   
They were guests on a radio call-in program and met with hundreds of anti-war activists at a rally.
   
Fonda said she expected the anti-war efforts to continue until the war ended.
