Rain and T'Storms Expected to Expand in Coverage After 8-9pm

Severe T'Storm Watch until 10pm for Otsego and Delaware counties for the potential for damaging wind gusts with any thunderstorms, otherwise rain and thunderstorms over western New York will move east into eastern New York and western New England between 8-9pm through midnight to 2am.  Locally heavy rain and brief gusty wind will be possible in any of the stronger rain/t'storm elements within a broader area of rainfall.  A general weakening mode with the rain is likely to develop after 9-10pm due to loss of daytime heating.

September 17, 1969 - Schenectady Community College gets new home

On this day back in 1969, the end of a major transition as the old van curler hotel became the new Schenectady Community College.

The move didn't come without controversy.

Protesters said the college was not serving the entire community -- since there wasn't a black person on the board of trustees.

The Schenectady community action program had proposed the reverend Carl Taylor as a candidate -- but he was never confirmed.September 17, 1969 - Schenectady Community College gets new home
