June 26, 1966 - Torrential downpour leads to widespread flooding

On this day in our history in 1966, some unusual weather in Saratoga's Congress Park.

A torrential downpour flooding the park ... power shorted out in the Canfield Casino.

3 fire trucks answering the call got stuck in the waist-high water.

The nearby Saratoga tree nursery recorded nearly 4 inches of rain between 5 and 6:15 that night.

A lot of customers without power in talking Greenfield Center, Lake Middleborough, Ballston Spa and Saratoga Springs.June 26, 1966 - Torrential downpour leads to widespread flooding
