Light to Locally Moderate Snow Storm Starting Sunday PM - Ending Early Monday

A weak area of low pressure will cross the region from late Sunday through early Monday morning bringing a period of accumulating snow which will begin as some light and spotty snow on Sunday afternoon. A steadier snow will develop through the evening and into Sunday night. Expect slow and slick travel conditions Sunday night with variable snow accumulations ranging from 1"-3 in the Capital Region to as much as 5"-7" in terrain favored areas in the Adirondacks, Lake George-Saratoga Region, Vermont and Berkshire County.

On this day in our history in 1966, some unusual weather in Saratoga's Congress Park.

A torrential downpour flooding the park ... power shorted out in the Canfield Casino.

3 fire trucks answering the call got stuck in the waist-high water.

The nearby Saratoga tree nursery recorded nearly 4 inches of rain between 5 and 6:15 that night.
