August 6, 1968 - Hudson river cleanup

On this day in our history in 1966, we were on the Hudson off north Troy for the christening of the 3rd member of the RPI navy: the water watch. It was baptized with distilled water.

The boat was outfitted with sophisticated instruments and sent to Lake George, which was one of the cleanest lakes, to study how pollution starts in an effort to clean dirtier waterways, like the Hudson. August 6, 1968 - Hudson river cleanup
