Taking a look back into CBS6's archives, 41 years ago today, a big controversy between spac and "The Grateful Dead."
SPAC had booked the band for two concerts in September of 1972.
But after reports estimated 50,000 "Dead Heads" would attend the concerts -- well known for drug use at the time -- Saratoga County officials asked for the concerts to be called off.
The GM refused to cancel the concerts -- and the shows went on.
