Updated: Wednesday, August 21 2013, 05:55 AM EDT
On this day in our history in 1967, five members of the Florida water ski team on their way to the World's Fair in Montreal made a stop in Troy,  treating spectators to a performance on the Hudson.

They did the entire journey by way of water, sometimes traveling more than 150 miles a day.

The girls ranged from ages 12 to 27.

Their boat doubled as a living quarters for the long journey.August 21, 1967 - Heading to Expo '67
