Slick Roads Overnight As Steadier Snow Tapers Off - Still Some Occasional Light Snow

A weak area of low pressure that has been producing mainly light snow this evening will push farther away from the region as we work into the late night hours. The steady,  light snow will be tapering to more scattered areas of light snow, with only minimal additional accumulations for the overnight hours. Still, expect slow and slick travel conditions to be around for the duration of the night.  Most areas have seen from 1-3" of snowfall. Lingering flurries will be around into Monday morning.

August 15, 1970 - New trend at gas stations

Updated: Thursday, August 15 2013, 05:38 AM EDT
On this day back in 1970, we were reporting on a new trend taking hold at local gas stations.

The days of only men working at gas stations coming to an end, with women seen pumping gas and wiping windshields.

Of course it wasn't long before all of those attendants went away and we were left to pump our own gas.August 15, 1970 - New trend at gas stations
