1 killed, 3 injured in collision in Kinderhook
KINDERHOOK, N.Y. -- State police say a Syracuse-area man has been killed and three other central New York residents remain hospitalized after their car collided with a truck in the Hudson Valley. Investigators say 28-year-old Aaron Cortright of Liverpool drove the car into the path of a large box truck around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at an intersection in Kinderhook, 20 miles south of Albany. Troopers say both vehicles came to rest in a field. Cortright was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say 22-year-old Casper Gottuso of Central Square, 21-year-old Lea Wolven of Hastings and 26-year-old Christopher McCarthy of Syracuse suffered injuries that were serious but not life-threatening. All were being treated Wednesday at Albany Medical Center. The truck driver wasn't injured. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
