Weekend Warriors Beware!
Weekend Warriors tend to do little exercise during the week but do a lot of exercise on the weekend. Unfortunately, doctors say these people may run into serious injuries. The body may not be able to handle the sudden surge of activity -- so weekend warriors may experience joint and muscle injuries -- especially in the knees, elbows & shoulders. Dr. Paul Kerner is an Orthopedic Surgeon at Ellis Hospital. He says he sees weekend warrior injuries all the time. According to Kerner, you are better off exercising a half hour three times a week -- then an hour & a half on the weekend.
