Green Island to be invaded by...WROW?

During the Senate coup, News Talk 590 host Jackie Donovan was so frustrated with Albany politicians, she could have taken over a small municipality.

"Enough of the town hall nonsense - we're going straight for the take-over, one community at a time..." she said. "That's it! I'm taking over Green Island!"

And so it came to be.

At noon on Saturday, Sept. 19, Green Island will be invaded by Donovan and her gang of pirates in a mock-takeover. The occupation forces will arrive on an "assault" Albany Aqua Duck vehicle.

Mayor Ellen McNulty-Ryan will surrender the key to the city at the River Park, and speeches will be made by "former mayor" McNulty-Ryan, "New Mayor Pro-tem" Donovan, No New Tax Party representatives, Tea Party Organizer Wade Abbott, Assemblyman Jim Tedisco and other "Joe Taxpayers."

Food and fun will be provided.

Islanders, prepare to be liberated.
