Coeymans dad pleads guilty in shooting death of teenage son
A 44-year-old Coeymans man will serve 19 years in prison for killing his teenage son at their home earlier this year, Albany County District Attorney David Soares announced today.
Glenn Vosburgh pleaded guilty to felony first-degree manslaughter as part of a plea bargain. He admitted he was heavily intoxicated inside their home when he shot his 18-year-old son Craig in the back with a loaded Luger, 9-mm semi-automatic pistol at their Route 9W home on March 16th, according to Soares.
Craig Vosburgh had been staying with his father, but primarily lived with his mother and stepfather. Friends and family have said the father and son had a tumultuous relationship, but Craig stayed with his father to help him.
