UPDATE: Saratoga Springs bank robbery suspect turns self in
UPDATED May 25th, 12 p.m.
SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Police have arrested the suspect in the robbery at Saratoga National Bank Monday morning.
Police say 25-year-old Matthew Forbes of Saratoga Springs turned himself in Tuesday. According to Lt. Gregory Veitch, Forbes was aware there was a warrant out for his arrest, and had a relative call police to arrange the arrest.
Forbes turned himself in peacefully, said Lt. Veitch, was charged with felony third-degree robbery. He has been remanded to Saratoga County Jail on $25,000 cash bail.

SARATOGA SPRINGS -- Police are investigating a robbery at the Saratoga National Bank branch at 91 West Ave.
The branch shut down just before noon, so police could search for the suspect.
According to Saratoga Springs Police spokesperson Lt. Gregory Veitch, a white man with short blond hair and a white bandana walked into the bank at about 11:45 a.m., and handed the teller a note demanding money.
The suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash. No weapon was shown, said Lt. Veitch.
The vehicle believed to be used as the getaway car, a red Volvo station wagon, was later recovered in a parkink lot on Balltown Road in Niskayuna.
Lt. Veitch said a suspect has been identified and believes police will make an arrest in the case soon.
Saratoga National Bank President and CEO, Kenneth O'Conor told our Marci Natale no one was hurt, but the staff at the West Ave. branch appeared shaken up. He said, "Despite all the things you can do with security training and robbery training, they did the right thing. Our training paid off and that's the reason we have the outcome that we do."
