Pelzer found guilty of murdering of a local man
A South Carolina man was found guilty of murdering a local man while he slept in his truck at a rest stop, sources told CBS6's Craig Smith on Friday evening.
Willie Pelzer III, 23, of Calhoun County, S.C. was charged with shooting 35-year-old Jason Rivenburg of Fultonham twice in the head before robbing him of $7, according to The Times and Democrat.
Rivenburg, a father of three children, took a part-time job with a trucking company and was resting at a rest stop in S.C. on March 5 when he was murdered. He was found dead in his cab two days later.
The T and D said Pelzer faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
