UPDATE: Son will likely be charged with murder in Sharon Springs death, police say
UPDATED Nov. 18, 12:15 p.m.
SCHOHARIE COUNTY -- State Police are continuing to investigate a suspicious death of a man in Sharon Springs, and are now calling it a homicide.
Police in Connecticut Tuesday located and arrested the man accused in the death of 63-year-old George King. Thirty-seven-year-old Gerry Alan King of Sprakers is currently being held in jail in Litchfield, Conn., and will likely be returning to New York state Wednesday evening, said State Police spokesperson Trooper Maureen Tuffey.
Gerry King is George King's son, according to Tuffey.
Autopsy results show George King died from blunt force trauma.
Gerry King, who police say has a history of mental illness, will likely be charged with second-degree murder and arraigned in Schoharie County when he returns to New York state.
