Sixth man arrested in pipe bomb investigation

Albany County Sheriffs have arrested a sixth man in connection with a video showing local men attaching a home made pipe bomb to a turtle and detonating it.

Duncan S. Schanz, 22, of 71 Gage Road in Knox, possessed and used pipe bombs in his town, according to a statement released by sheriffs.

Schanz turned himself in to the sheriff's office with his lawyer this evening and released on $5,000 bail after his arraignment in Town of Knox Justice Court. He is charged with third degree criminal possession of a weapon, fifth degree conspiracy and torturing an animal.
