Soldier honored
The annual West Point Day at the state Capitol Wednesday turned into a salute to a local soldier killed in Iraq.
James and Mary Ellen Moshier, the parents of Captain Timothy Moshier, were on hand for the event.
Captain Moshier was killed over the weekend when his chopper was shot down in an especially dangerous area near Baghdad.
Captain Moshier graduated from West Point after getting his high school diploma at Bethlehem Central.
A family spokesman says the Moshier’s don’t believe their son’s body was the one seen in a disturbing video posted on the web by insurgents.
The Moshier’s have tentatively planned a funeral service for next week in Delmar.
