Large marijuana-growing operation discovered at Delmar warehouse; 3 arrested
BETHLEHEM -- State Police say they discovered 300 marijuana plants, 60 pounds of processed marijuana and various marijuana-growing equipment at a Delaware Avenue warehouse during an unrelated investigation there.
Police discovered the marijuana-growing operation at 772 Delaware Avenue in Delmar Monday night. The value of the crop when fully grown and harvested was estimated to be over $500,000.
Ray Marshall, 43, of Bethlehem; Gino Dicarlo, 39, of Albany; and Andrew Ventre, 23, of Albany, were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful growing of cannabis.
The three men were arraigned in Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to Albany County Jail without bail.
