Schenectady man arrested for writing fake checks

GLENVILLE -- A Schenectady man has been arrested for writing fake checks at the Wal Mart in town, police said.
Frederick Hollingshed, 43, of Union Street, has been charged with seven felonies.
Investigators said he tried to pass off the checks between June and July 2009.
He’s due back in Glenville Town Court at a later date.
