Freehold man dies in New Baltimore crash

A Freehold man was killed when his car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer in New Baltimore Thursday afternoon, according to statement released by State Police in Catskill Thursday night.

Police said Brian Haight, 24, was traveling northbound on Route 9W when his car drifted into the southbound lane and hit a ten-wheel tractor driven by Warren Belknap of Coxsackie.

Haight was pronounced dead at the scene. Belknap was treated at Albany Medical Center for back and neck injuries, police said.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
